I'm referring to this abs for my own personal use as #ABS2018redemption

I started ABS 14days ago and started at the same time as a few other users on here. We all had the aim of going 90+ days and supporting each other as accountability partners. Unfortunately on day 13 I slipped up and mbed. To be perfectly honest it felt quite good- I was stood up and lubed my penis and hand and thrusted my penis in and out of it. I edged a few times and enjoyed quick and slow movements. I've used this mb technique in the past and I'm not sensitive enough to do this unless I have about half a week of abs or more. I think it feels better than traditional mb because it replicates the movements and motions of sex more and then build up to orgasm feels good too- I could kind of feel the cum building up from earlier on until I came (this gave a nice sensation and on the penis too) , whereas this isn't as noticeable when I mb real quick by hand movement only.

I think it was my negative state of mind that led towards feeling the temptation to mb. My rationalisation was convincing I will only feel better from mbing. Despite enjoying it and feeling less negative before, I did fail exhausted and numb. It was as if My body felt exhausted from my negative mood subsiding after orgasm and ejaculation, as well as the ejaculation and strong orgasm causing tiredness. I fell asleep mid day for about 3 hours and I'm not sure that would've been so easy if I hadn't mbed.

Later that evening and the morning after, the chaser effect has been present. Even whilst not being aroused, thoughts would wonder to how it'd feel good and give me satisfaction to mb the same way as yesterday. However unlike before I haven't binged or tried to have more than one ejaculation. I've made a conscious decision that this was simply a slip up, and whilst it felt good, I'll have this mb method available in the future, but should aim to see what wet dreams and other experiences can be enjoyed in the next few months and continue abs to 90 or more days . This should hopefully act as a reminder when temptation arises in the future and I'll use the help from this site and NoFap when I get similar urges next time.

As I usually binge after I stop abstaining it'll be interesting to see what (if any) effects this has on the time it takes to get a wet dream and the effects on what it's like to overcome the chaser effect. I want to experience wet dreams so that's the goal and motivation to not consider mbing for the next 90+ Days

So just now I actually gave into temptation again and used the method again. I was starting to think that I wouldn't finish using it at first but about 3 minutes in I knew I was able to. I felt less sensitive than yesterday. Just goes to show that being able to have 2 mb sessions replicating sex more , rather than heavy hand movements, shows that my abs helped me be in this more natural state. In the past I've certainly not been able to finish this way if I mbed every day.

It's got me thinking that I do have a bit of an issue with mb. Once a day is my usual habit and it's kind of made me densensitized and unresponsive to this better way to mb and wet dreams . Who knows whether this is causing long term issues with erectile dysfunction, delayed ejaculation or addiction in general. So I've made a choice starting now - to adapt a full on No fap approach(including no porn) with the support of the subreddit http://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap. I think having porn as an option just makes things more difficult, so unlike my abs before when I would allow it, I'm now not allowing myself it because it will just lead to temptation and I'm addicted to porn/ masturbation anyway.

I have felt the chaser effect and maybe this is because I am still sensitive after my abs. However 2 in 14 days isn't the be all and end all for trying to discover what effects mbing once or twice inbetween abstinence does.

Starting now I'm aiming for a full 90 day reboot including no porn and no mb. Let's see what happens!

So two weeks ago I ended my ABS of 13 days. It ended abruptly and despite attempting to battle the chaser effect,I ended up caving in back to old ways i.e. masturbating vigorously with my hand every day/evening . Four days ago I started abstaining with no goal or intention in mind. I recall just feeling like I didn't want to mb that evening. Now, after some pondering, I've made a conscious decision and commitment- to go 116 days (my ABS record) or more which takes me to September 1st. My outlook to this ABS is simply this..... I want to experience more WD and the fun that ABS brings, even though it can sometimes be very challenging and draining emotionally and psychologically. I also want the achievement again, as in 2016, of breaking my previous record of ABS. I'm going to remind myslf that this period will be temporary and won't last forever, but to make this opportunity count whilst it is still available to me and to get going with it as soon as possible. No matter what happens, I go the distance and keep to the commitment of this abstinence period.

Just approaching one week. I'm feeling motivated and determined right now. I plan for this to continue.
I was just thinking how powerful the chaser effect is. After just 13 days ABS last time, I tried to continue my streak, But the urges got too much for at least a week, and the week after just felt like the normal habit returned . The urges weren't necessarily related to just arousal though. It came on mostly due to stress or depression and it felt as if my brain urged me and encouraged me to get the dopamine rush from mb. Perhaps because my body and brain felt it had missed out on this during my abs, the brain does all it can to urge me to do it again and again. The lesson learned for myself, and others too I perhaps, is that the chaser effect is a very powerful process and don't be fooled into thinking that it's easy to continue ABs after you've returned it mb.

I've got a separate counter for no porn so that I'm going through the 'No Fap' process for overcoming porn addiction, as well as a separate ABS counter. Both on the same amount of days do far.

Day 14

Because of my recent slip up on my last streak on day 13, I think it's helped me keep motivated to continue. Having the attitude that this is a temporary thing and to just commit to this abs for this time period, certainly helps. In general I'm feeling more arousal. I was in a filing room and a younger girl was there, perhaps 19. I felt more aroused than usual being in her presence and had the first realisation that I feel differently to when I mb. I also get harder erections from fantasising but I can shut it down pretty quickly too if I want to. Also it's been getting warmer so it's nice to sleep naked. It feels good when my penis rubs against the sheets, even though I'm mostly flaccid, although there's no deliberate stimulation.

I had a dream of a wet dream! It was intense at the time I just can't recall it very well now as it was early in night. I remember my pajamas bottoms filling up with sperm. I think in the dream I was aroused and had a spontaneous ejaculation. It's a good sign that my subconscious has wet dreams on its mind maybe it's getting prepared lol- I think I'll have to wait another few months for my first though judging by past experiences

It's pretty cool. Not on this occasion but in he past I'd wake up convinced I had a wet dream only to find I'm dry as a bone. I know I've experienced this before but can't recall details

A quick update.....

On 11th June, day 11, I caved in due to emotional reasons. Basically I felt I needed a comfort and the method (as described on my first post of this log) gave me a satisfying orgasm and ejaculation. On most occasions on previous streaks that ended, I'd have binged a lot. After all the chaser effect is very powerful. This time the chaser effect only lasted a small while; about two hours after the orgasm, I felt a slight urge to masturbate that felt like it was brought on from my brain because it just got a taste of the high from the orgasm. The day after it appeared slightly after seeing hot girls in bikinis on tv, but it's gone since. Today it's 2 and a half days later.

This morning I had a migraine after having blurred vision. I tried to sleep but couldn't. Amazingly a part of my brain rationalised that I should mb to help ease the migraine and the ability to sleep and suddenly I considered this for a few seconds before commanding within my mind that this is not what I want or need, and that this craving is a result of temporary discomfort. Sure enough, I ended up being sick ten minutes later and felt good afterwards. The urge to mb had gone too. I guess the lesson here is that it IS possible for me or anyone else to overcome the part/s of the brain that rationalises the idea of mbing on ABS.l, By taking contro of my thoughtsl. I feel more confident that I can battle the chaser effect or any other urges that come as a result of my brain craving a dopamine release from mbing, which is a lot strong on abs because the brain feels like it's been deprived of it.

I'm aiming to go 4 months (123 days) to beat my 116 day record and enjoy the wet dreams again. It really is time to stop letting my emotions issues get in the way of my ABS and WD goals. Today I started on the right path by shutting down the rationalisations that led to relapse in the past. I'll be alert to future thoughts that occur and react appropriately.

Day 3 completed. But I think that looking at open out of curiosity and boredom isn't helping my cause at all. I think the arousal can be too tempting to want to orgasm and ejaculate. I also want to see what a 'no fap' reboot feels like. I've set up a new counter for no porn viewing, starting now.

My reasons for this are also a little deeper too. I was on YouTube looking at my private playlist and noticed a lot of videos I've watched over the past ten years with a sexual nature had been deleted. I couldn't find this one video that had pictures of women in underwear. I felt disappointed by this for a minute or so and then found it. I felt slight relief when it was found but realised I may have an addiction to porn, more than I thought at first. After posting on the http://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap site it appears that my neurological pathways in my brain associate certain porn videos to pleasure and this is a sign of addiction to something that can be harmful to yourself. I browsed online fuerther for a while and then came to my decision that I've got to have a NoFap reboot as well as just a long ABS streak

Coming up to day 8. I'm glad that I've been able to continue ABS after my last ejaculation on day 10 of my last streak. I've finally beaten the chaser effect, although it was only after 10 days.

After having what I thought was an epiphany just a few days ago regarding my porn habits, I've spent more than a few hours in the past few days on porn video sites- a little more graphical than just women in their underwear. I've been looking through videos and if I like something in the video, I'll save it into a playlist. Then I just keep clicking on more videos, viewing briefly and repeating the process. It's kind of getting out of control a little. I'm going to try harder to have a no porn streak.

Some positives. I've noticed that my erections seem to be harder and firmer when fantasising or looking at porn. I think this is a good sign that I'm moving towards being more sensitised on my penis after overdoing it with my daily masturbation habits for pretty much the last 13 years. However, I'm concerned that I may be getting too aroused, too soon on my streak, so I'm going to focus on stopping myself from getting too aroused deliberately. When I reach a few months, that'll be the right time to embrace all arousal without stimulation because it's helped spur on wet dreams in the past.

I know a wet dream is probably months away but it's a good start so far. I'd really like to make it happen sooner rather than later, so I may as well take this opportunity now.

This is a long post but it's been copied from my personal ABS diary. I can understand why people would be reluctant to read so much, but it will help me for my own journey...

Back to day 0. What a crazy few hours that was- I've masturbated again... sigh.
I'd been watching porn for hours on end for three days or so. I'd look at a video and quickly go through it and if I saw something I really liked, I'd save it to my pornhub account. I was feeling a bit down because I wasn't watching the England football game with any friends like most people. I found myself in my room humping my pillow gently for a few seconds earlier in the evening. But when I went to bed I was intrigued about what it'd be like to put my penis inbetween my thighs with saliva as lube. Not much sensation really. I was then mostly gently massaging my penis with saliva and thinking to myself that I'll just edge a little and I won't ejaculate or stop ABS just yet. I then got hair moisturiser brought it to my room and carried on whilst watching porn- Mostly oral sex scens and trying to replicate the motions in the video. I just kept massaging slowly, gently, then sometimes harder. Sometimes using two hands or twisting wrists around it- differnet to my usual up and down jerking as quick as possible to finish. I'm not going to lie it felt good and I felt more sensitive than usually masturbating. It carried on for longer and longer.I was at times approaching orgasm but held back and stopped for 30 or seconds or so then continued. I continued this for about two hours including two toilet breaks. I don't think I've ever masturbated for this long before but I honestly didn't feel like I'd get bored if I had carried on for an extra hour or so. I was planning to keep edging and then move onto my technique where I thrust into lubed hand to finish, and move onto a video that would replicate those motions more. I continued and all of a sudden without feeling like I was about to, I felt myself ready to ejaculate. I felt the orgasm but let go, tried to tighten my lower body to try and stop myself releasing. I had a ruined orgasm and came a bit. It was as if my body and subconscious mind decided to ejaculate for me after so much stimulation, if that makes any sense. Suddenly I felt like the high from the masturbating went to a sudden low whcih I believe is a common thing when masturbating and something I've experienced before. Strangely enough I don't feel this low so much when I mb with my humping lubed hand method, possibly becuase it replicates the motions of intercourse more. I waited a few minutes and just went to completion of orgasm and ejaculation and ejaculated a fair amount with some of it including a urine type of texture and state. My penis felt a little sore and I felt tired afterwards and fell asleep very easily at about 3am. I woke at 12:30pm and haven't slept for that long in ages. Maybe the exhaustion from the orgasm and ejaculation was present.
How do I pick myself up from here? Well I think porn was the issue this time as well as feeling emotional issues. I think a thorough no porn and masturbation reboot is required with the help of the No Fap community. Maybe with counselling I can improve my general life and not feel the need to engage in so much masturbation and porn and my other unhealthy habits like overeating.
Maybe the help of my work coach tomorrow will help me with my career choices and having the right career for me might help with my depression, which leads to these unhealthy habits.
Anyway, back to abs. I now want to, as I did 8 days ago, continue abs and not allow myself to succumbe to the chaser effect. If I can beat the chaser effect again, maybe my abs journey will be easier and I'll be closer to WD territory and a more sensitised penis. My aim is still to reach my record of 116 days and experience wet dreams during that period, as well as a more sensitive penis by the end of that period.

I've had a few streaks since June but not been able to reach over the 3 week mark and I've been masturbating a lot. This has helped me come to a decision that I'ld like to resume with no fap, which will include no porn, edging and masturbating. Day 1 started on 1st September. My aim is to make it to my 116 days record and see in the new year on day 123 days.

Released this evening to porn in my room on day 4 . Not ideal at all. I'd been looking at porn earlier in the day and I thought I'd be ok with it. Later on I was in my room, no light working, and just casually browsing -the urge came and I just went with it in a daze and before I knew it, my streak had ended. I came more than usual and as with other streaks that end, I had a temporary high from the stimulation and the orgasm, followed by an almost instantaneous crash. I believe it's been referred to as 'letdown hormones' on here before- well, I really felt it this time and I had negative emotions and thoughts too. I showered and decided that I'd like to just get straight back into it and not entertain the chaser effect. So right now I've started again with the aim to keep abstaining from masturbation and porn.

I felt that the chaser effect was strong and whilst craving sleep, decided to ejaculate a few times as an aid. It seemed to work but I think compared to a few months ABS, I woke up tired and groggy for most of the day- although personal issues in my life may be more responsible for this.

On the 5th September I had a look at how many days there were until the new year and there appeared to be 117 days. This is significant for me because my record is 116 days and I started to get intrigued by the concept of entering the new year with an ABS record. Therefore I’ve decided that I will push myself to my absolute limits to make it this far and end 2018 on a high note. I have an accountability partner on here who started a few days before me and together we’re going to help each other make it to day 30. I’ve also updated a memo on my iPod which gives me guidance on what to do if urges appear e.g reminding myself that urges that have been brought on by negative thinking or emotions are my brain’s way of desiring a dopamine high from mb.

I’ve also made a memo about why I wish to complete this abs, thus reminding myself that I am getting older and moving away from a young male easily able to get wet dreams, and encouraging myself to make the most of this opportunity to end 2018 on a better note than has already been up to now. It’s goint to be a challenge but I’m embracing it and my hope is that the extra testosterone from abs can be used towards dealing with my emotional issues and life’s problems.

I have a separate counter for porn, which started on the same day as my abs counter. I’m aiming to give up porn, but should I relapse, I made it clear in my memo that I won’t use it as an excuse to look for more ,nor consider it acceptable to mb just because I relapsed on the porn streak. I’m hoping that abstinence on both simultaneously will be an aid to improving my life overall.

I'm glad that the foundations are building up nicely and I've got support from my accountability partner on here and others to help see this through.

I've looked back on old notes from many years ago about wet dreams and came across a list of comments from people who compared wet dreams to masturbation. I was in a bad mood this morning and looked at porn briefly for about ten minutes. I dind't go onto video sites showing intercourse, but the images I viewed were of seductive women, including nudity. I've decided to make a spreadsheet to make a note of days when I view porn. I feel that keeping track of when I look at porn, and why I felt the need to, will help me monitor my habits. I'm hoping to look back at this document in many months time knowing that my porn viewing was reduced significantly and notice the benefits of a reboot.

Day 7

Good to have a week under my belt. Been a rough few days and temptation to look at porn has been an issue that I've failed to deal with completely. I had arousal before bedtime last night because of this which is not ideal at such an early stage. I woke u briefly in the night to find myself touching myself and ,then stopped suddenly and fell asleep almost immediately after. I think I just need to be a bit more cautious with the porn viewing and plan to get a no porn streak going starting today.

The last streak ended abruptly about a week and a half ago on day 11. I had been watching porn for about 5 days in a row and in a low mood, found myself frustrated that morning with no release and tried to think of ways I could mb or edge. I was watching porn that morning too which made things a lot worse and after debating with myself I tried a new mb technique- I put three pillows on top of each other and rested my hand facing palm upwards on the top pillow, creating a hole with thumb and finger, whilst resting my knees on the bed . I lubed up my hand and penis and thrusted into it. It felt good but it was short lived and an anti climax because before I knew it, I was approaching orgasm. I was in two minds whether to just edge but the orgasm approached suddenly and just went with it. I felt disappointed after because it was an anti climax, my intentions for the streak had ended so abruptly and my low mood didn’t subside, except for the temporary comfort of the stimulation and orgasm. I keep on reminding myself that the temporary comfort will come and go and that it’s not worth it, and that the urges will be temporary, but I often find myself ignoring this concept due to my rationalisations- my brain clearly wants that dopamine high as a result of my low mood and this is intensified after an absence from mb .

Today is day 8 of abs and day 10 of no porn. My aim is to make it to Christmas Day which will be 90 days without mb. I’ve come to the decision that no porn has to be as forbidden as no mb, because allowing it whilst abs makes it too difficult to continue. Allowing room for it will make me more stressed out by having pent up arousal without release, and actually in the past 8 days my streak has felt easier knowing it’s not an option. I’ve wanted to have a full 90 day reboot for a long time and I think this can be achieved.

Wet dreams in the past few years have been spurred on by watching porn at night before bed and getting aroused (only after 2 months abs though) so instead I may just fantasise with my eyes closed and get aroused. I certainly believe that’s a healthier way to go about it, for myself at least.

Day 12 no Mb, day 14 no porn.

I’m glad to reach two weeks without viewing porn. It’s been a long time since I can remember going this long and the abs streak is therefore a lot easier- I feel less irritable about abs and I guess that’s got a lot to do with not having extra arousal brought on intentionally without release. I intend to continue this momentum for the foreseeable future. I do sometimes get doubts that I won’t be able to continue as the days tally up but I’m sure that deep down I’m just having self doubts and it’s very possible to make it this time around. I know it’s early days so far and of course I must remain vigilant if I find myself getting urges at any point, but so far so good. I look forward to what I can achieve
