(1) The first thing to do is to abstain from MB - including prostate massage. After a waking 'peak' orgasm, it takes your body two weeks for the hormonal and neurochemical disturbance to end. Always.

(2) It's a good idea to eat a healthy, balanced diet, with supplements as needed, and drink plenty of water. Always.

(3) Try to keep as busy as possible; spend any free time you have exercising and doing hobbies. Exercise and diet are important for health in general, and will help to keep you occupied so you have less opportunity to MB. If your at home bored it's very easy to give in to MB. If you've had a busy day where you've used a lot of energy it will be easier to get to sleep at night, rather than lying awake feeling tempted to MB. At least for the first 30 days.

(4) Initially aim for the target of 30 day of abstinence from MB. After this time period you'll no longer feel the strong desire to MB - you'll no longer be addicted to the dopamine release orgasm causes.

(5) Don't touch your penis/vulva, apart from when absolutely necessary - washing, using the toilet etc. Always.

(6) Avoid anything that will cause you to become sexually excited; this includes art, pornography, and choosing to sexually fantasise. Until you no longer 'need' to MB - approximately 15-30 days.

(7) Listening to 'Brain Sync*' may help you to change your unconscious mind. For at least six weeks.

(8) Post to this forum every day. For the first 30 days.

(9) Understand the role negative suggestion could play in you staying addicted to MB.

(10) Look into Ibogaine therapy if legal in your location.

This is what has worked for me, a 46 year old married man who now abstains from waking ejaculations and has WDs one to three times a month on average. My first adult WD came as a surprise after two and a half months of traveling alone, and not having any waking ejaculations and not MBing much. My second, several years later, came after over a month of not having waking ejaculations, but I was at that time enjoying non-ejaculatory sex occasionally. Now I edge sometimes (maybe once in three months) and have non-ejaculatory sexual pleasuring maybe once or twice a month.

1) Abstain from ejaculation while awake.

2) Do not habitually engage in masturbatory edging or non-ejaculatory sex. Enjoy of such stimulation occasionally. Maybe every three to ten weeks if desired.

2) Learn to enjoy the "energy" that comes with abstinence. Thus, the reward of abstinence is moment to moment, daily.

3) Eat a balanced diet, exercise, and in so doing, stay slim.

5) When the WD comes, be grateful. Instead of looking forward to the next one, enjoy recalling the last one.

Wow those last few replies are the dumbest things I have ever heard. What im about to say is my opoion and im not saying its right evn though it will sound that way. There is no such things as god, prophet, supreme being, One faith, or everything that groks is god. That is all crap, we are a complex machine run on chemical impulses and hormones. At the end of oure life we die and thats it. We are virtually just super complex computers, and if you took away parts of our brains we would not even be able to concieve of a thing called god, yet we still are human. But nothing has changed. Apes don't have gods and prophets yet we are not overly more advaned then they are. So i come to the conclusion that all religions are made up lies by people trying to become famous.

a couple of things that have worked for me:

water intake-I try and drink a little over 60 liters when abstaining

taking ginseng-boosts your mood, gives you energy, and helps with your cognitive thinking(warning can interfere with meds! and can be allergic!

taking st john's wort-boosts your mood(warning can interfere with meds! and can be allergic!

getting sun-vitamin d(from the uv rays) helps synthesise energy from food and helps with depression, 15 minutes of direct sunlight everyday is more than enough beleive it or not

EXCERCISE
excercise is crucial it helps burn testerone and makes you too tired to mb

I do this all In a day (exp weight training I do that four days a week)

start my morning with yoga(some times this is all you need to stop)

meditate(not physical excerise but it trains the mind not to need mb)

jogging-4 miles a day

stretching-after jogging I stretch muscles that need to be limbered

weight training-2 hours working two different muscle groups

RANDOM TIPS
eat a bland diet whenever possible nothing to rich and avoid SPICY foods ud b suprised how horny it can make you
the best things to eat are graham crackers and corn flakes because they were designed for masturbation addicts(I'm completely serious)

I you get lonely download some stand up comedy and some books on tape

a full bladder can bring on a wet dream so drink a little water before bed but NOT TO MUCH, theres really no point in doing it the first week but the second its worth a shot

Yeah, designed by Kellogg, but he was kind of a nut, and I don't think there's any kind of evidence to support that claim. Plus, Graham Crackers are full of partially hydrogenated oil which isn't good for you. Personally, spicy food (which I like) doesn't affect me in any sexual way, one way or another, but everyone's different.

I have read many of the posts on here with interest, I had my first WD when i was in my 20's and that was only 24 hours after MB.
So the thing about leaving it weeks on end to have a WD is not true in my case.

I had a few more at totally random times durring the night all within a couple of days of MB throughout my 20's.

now i'm in my early 30's and had 3 in the past 2 weeks ! which has never happened before.
My MB and sex habbits have not changed.

But one thing has !

Have had had trouble sleeping (always have) but now I fall asleep with the radio on low volume and wake up after a WD at around 2-4 in the morning.

I think having a WD has far more to do with sleep state than it has to do with when you last MB'ed. Although not having MB for months like some people on here must force the Issue !

My sleep now is for longer but shallower, rather than deeper sleep for less time.

I'm normally a nude sleeper, but last nite i was in breifs and had a WD.

i was thinking the same thing when i was new, the first post i made on this forum was how some foods give you WDs, and that because the night before i got a wetdreams after drinking cofee before going to bed. so i concluded that some foods make you have wetdreams.

i think that everyone gets wetdreams, by everyone i mean 98 percent of the population. they might be induced by sleep pattern or by food or by exercise or by lifestyle, who knows, but everyone gets a wetdream.

so let agree that we all get wetdreams, regardless of life style, but when you don't masturbate, your frequency of wetdreams will be higher, and trust me we have a lot of anecdotal evidence, i think this man that recorded his MB and WD for 10 years or something.. and a lot of research evidence to prove it, like in some countries where MB is restricted, more men tend to have wetdream. or just by the member on this forum and what they have experienced, which including me.

there is not a a lot of long term abstainer your age group that still get wetdreams, maybe you can start abstaining to and provide us with some valuable information.

I'll tell you some tips that (maybe) works

1: Don't mb.
2: think before you go to sleep about anything that makes you horny, then maybe your penis may be you know, (hard xD).

3: Its good, to touch your penis, much people says it's not good to do that, if you want a wet dream. But it is very good, if you want a wet dream. Because that could make you horny or it will give you a good feeling. (you can ask your girlfriend or wife to do that)

4: and when you go to sleep, hold your penis atleast 10 min. (you can pinch your penis too, not too hard, because it would hurt xD)

5: you can also let your girlfriend licks your penis (lol xD). (it's emberassing to say).

6: now, go to sleep.

(do it untill you get a wet dream).
